Jens Schanze, born in Bonn, studied at the University of Television and Film Munich. In 2002, he founded the production company Mascha Film with Judith Malek-Mahdavi. Schanze's documentary «Plug & Pray» was awarded with the Bavarian Film Prize 2010. Since 2010 Jens Schanze is assigned as visiting lecturer at the University of Television and Film Munich, at the Münchner Filmwerkstatt e.V. and the Bavarian Academy for Television.
